UK Pre Wedding Photography in Oxford

Rishab and Purmina’s pre wedding photography shoot location in Oxford was an incredible day in a fantastic location. The location had been chosen by Purmina as she was a student at Oxford University and the setting was particularly special for her. Rishab had flown over from India to join his future bride and we had a great day exploring the University and stunning architecture of Oxford.

The city of Oxford is famous for beautiful buildings, spires and the breathtaking university buildings and as Purmina is a student there we were able to get some photographs at the Ratcliffe Library and inside the University grounds of Christ Church before heading over to Christ Church Meadow and the banks of the River Thames.

Here are a few images from this UK pre wedding photography shoot in Oxford.

Hidden Gems:

  • Punting on the River Cherwell: Embark on a romantic punting experience on the scenic River Cherwell. Capture candid photographs as you glide through the idyllic landscape, with the majestic university buildings as your backdrop.

  • Ashmolean Museum: Explore the diverse collection of this renowned museum and capture creative and unique photographs amidst the historical artifacts. Choose a specific section that resonates with your interests, or pose near the grand architecture for a touch of sophistication.

Planning and Logistics:

  • Seasonality: Oxford's beauty transforms throughout the year. Spring offers vibrant blooms, summer boasts lush greenery, autumn showcases a kaleidoscope of colors, and winter brings a serene, snow-dusted charm. Choose a season that complements your desired aesthetic and attire.

  • Time of Day: Aim for the "golden hour," just after sunrise or before sunset, for the most flattering lighting and vibrant colors. Early mornings or late afternoons offer softer, diffused light, ideal for capturing a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

  • Permits: Certain locations, like colleges and museums, might require permits for photography. Research and acquire necessary permissions well in advance to avoid any last-minute hiccups.

  • Transportation: Consider the ease of access when choosing locations. Opt for walking tours for a more intimate experience, or pre-arrange transportation for efficient movement between various locations.

Additional Tips:

  • Plan your outfits: Choose outfits that complement each other and the chosen locations. Opt for comfortable yet elegant attire that allows for easy movement and reflects your personal style.

  • Bring props: Consider incorporating props like flowers, balloons, or personalized signs to add a touch of personality and fun to your photos.

  • Relax and have fun! The most important aspect is to relax, enjoy the experience, and let your love story unfold naturally. Don't be afraid to experiment with poses and have fun capturing your unique personalities.

Remember, this list is just a starting point. Explore Oxford's hidden corners, discover unique venues that resonate with your love story, and capture your pre-wedding photos in a way that reflects your personalities and aspirations. With careful planning and a dash of creativity, Oxford's timeless beauty will become the perfect backdrop for your enduring love story.
