Indian Wedding and Reception at De Vere Beaumont Estate

Following a stunning civil wedding at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, Ian and Sheena’s Indian and Scottish fusion wedding continued into the Hindu wedding which took place at the incredible De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor.

Sheena’s bridal prep took place at the De Vere Hotel and she looked absolutely incredible in her Indian attire.

Ian made his Indian Baraat wedding entrance with a Scottish twist by entering with bagpipes playing and lots of dancing. This was the perfect way to blend these two cultures together and was an incredible start to the wedding. The Hindu ceremony is one of my favourites to photograph as it is so colourful and full of interesting traditions such as walking around the fire, the seven vows and the exchanging of garlands. A fun tradition at Indian weddings is the bride’s side attempting to steal the groom’s shoes and it is the duty of the groom’s entourage to protect these for the groom. Ian was lucky enough to have a seven-strong team of rugby players to carry out this duty and it was hilarious to see them being foiled by one young kid!

The grounds of the De Vere Beaumont Estate are perfect for couple photographs and we had such a great time capturing some lovely wedding portraits before the couple retired to get ready for the evening reception which was also taking place at the De Vere Hotel in Old Windsor.

The Hindu reception after the Indian wedding was a great way to end this multi-day Indian and Scottish fusion wedding and began with reception drinks in the courtyard that had been decorated with an impressive message tree and florals. Guests then moved inside for the reception meal which was followed by dancing and music by Kudos who always know how to keep the party going and guests on the dance floor.

Here are a few images from this Scottish Indian fusion Hindu wedding ceremony and reception at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor.
