The ancient ruins of Ta Prohm in Cambodia
This place really was amazing with all these huge tree roots swallowing these ancient temples. You can’t help feeling like Indiana Jones as there’s so many entrances and corridors to all these temples just waiting to be explored. This tree was huge and even with a 17mm Canon lens I couldn’t quite fit it all in.
These temples are some of the only examples around Ankor that have been left in the same condition that they were found after the fall of the Khmer Empire fell and they look all the better for it. Most of the other temples around Siem Reap have been fully restored and the jungle cleared away but the ones at Ta Prohm look far more magical.
