Paris Destination Pre Wedding Photoshoot France

Destination Engagement Photography in Paris France

The second part of Jacky and Queenie's amazing three-country pre wedding shoot took place in Paris, France and we could not have asked for a nicer day. Paris is such an amazing place for destination pre wedding photography as there are so many incredible places to photograph in such a short space.

We started at the Eiffel Tower before strolling along the river to the Notre Dame before finishing at the Louvre. It was the perfect setting for this romantic pre wedding session and a great warm up for the Queenie and Jackie's wedding which I was lucky enough to photograph in Toronto Canada.

Here are a few images from this sunny destination pre wedding photoshoot in Paris.

Best Locations for a Paris Pre-Wedding PhotoShoot

If you are thinking about a pre wedding photoshoot in Paris then great choice, Paris is filled with incredible locations and backdrops for your dream elopement. Here are the top locations to consider for an incredible shoot.

1. Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is more than just a monument; it's a symbol of love and a must-visit backdrop for any pre-wedding shoot in Paris. Whether captured from the Trocadéro Gardens at sunrise or up close at sunset, the Eiffel Tower’s majestic structure adds a touch of magic to any photo.

2. Montmartre

This artistic quarter offers a glimpse into the bohemian Paris of yesteryears, with its cobbled streets and the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica. The area's vibrant atmosphere makes for lively and colourful pre-wedding photographs.

3. Louvre Museum

With its iconic glass pyramid and the historical richness of its buildings, the Louvre provides a sophisticated setting for pre-wedding photos. The juxtaposition of contemporary and classic architecture here symbolises the merging of two lives into a timeless union.

4. Notre-Dame Cathedral

Although currently under restoration, the exterior of Notre-Dame Cathedral remains a breathtaking example of French Gothic architecture and a poignant spot for couples looking for a backdrop steeped in history.

5. Luxembourg Gardens

These beautifully manicured gardens offer a serene escape in the heart of Paris. The Luxembourg Gardens are ideal for couples seeking a natural setting, complete with blooming flowers and elegant statues.

6. Palais-Royal

Known for its striped columns in the courtyard, the Palais-Royal is a spot favoured by those looking for a blend of architectural beauty and quiet, reflective spaces. It’s perfect for intimate, contemplative shots.

7. Seine River

A boat ride or a stroll along the Seine River, especially at twilight, offers a romantic setting and the opportunity to capture the essence of Parisian life. The riverbanks and the bridges over the Seine provide a picturesque setting for love to unfold.

8. Trocadéro

For the best views of the Eiffel Tower without the crowds, head to Trocadéro at dawn. The elevated position and the symmetry of its gardens offer a classic Parisian scene.

9. Alexandre III Bridge

Arguably the most ornate bridge in Paris, Alexandre III Bridge is adorned with art nouveau lamps and cherubs, making it an exquisite location for glamorous, timeless photographs.

Planning Your Pre-Wedding Shoot in Paris

Timing Your Visit

The time of year you choose to visit Paris can significantly affect your photoshoot. Spring and early autumn offer mild weather and softer light, ideal for outdoor photography. Early mornings are best for avoiding crowds, especially at popular landmarks.

Hiring a pre wedding Photographer

A good photographer can provide invaluable insights into hidden gems and the best times to capture the city's beauty. They can also help navigate logistics, ensuring a smooth photoshoot experience.

Outfit Considerations

Your attire should complement the elegance of Paris. Consider classic and timeless pieces that reflect your personal style while blending with the city’s aesthetic. Comfortable shoes are a must, as you’ll likely be walking to various locations.

Permissions and Regulations

Some locations may require permission or permits for photography, especially for professional shoots. Research and plan accordingly to avoid any legal issues on the day.

Embracing the Unexpected

Paris is known for its unpredictable weather; a sudden rain shower can add a romantic and unique element to your photos. Embrace the city’s moodiness, and let the natural elements play a role in your story.
